From intimate ballads to sweeping pop anthems, Risk of Rain reveals Robertson as more than a singer-songwriter—it establishes him as a storyteller, turning personal moments into universal connection. With this debut, Jack Robertson solidifies himself as one of New Zealand’s most compelling contemporary voices.

BIOGRAPHY
Born and raised in East Auckland, New Zealand, Artist Jack Robertson has emerged from his upbringings of English rock and folk music to land in his own world of bittersweet pop. One of four kids growing up, Robertson traded his earlier years spent in rock bands and guitar competitions, to write folk/pop music with a rocky undercurrent that softens the boundaries of genres.A 2016 Coldplay concert became a pivotal moment for Jack and inspired the following years of dedication to becoming a full time Artist. The influence of Chris Martin and the unavoidable heartbreak that comes with the trials and tribulations of teenagehood turned this, now Bachelor of Music student, into a multi-instrumentalist and prolific songwriter.Robertson has released an album's worth of original music and performed frequently across his home city, making waves as he strengthens his fanbase from the roots up. Whether accompanied by a rock piece, string quartet or in solitude with a guitar, his honesty and vulnerability within his performance and songwriting is now turning heads overseas. His last two singles of 2024, and his latest 2025 release ‘A Day’’ topped the New Zealand apple iTunes charts, while his stage-ready Pop anthem ‘Easy’ caught Robertson a record deal with Riverine Records.
Jack Robertson is busy performing live with shows in Auckland and Los Angeles this winter, whilst releasing new music leading up to his Debut EP “Risk of Rain” released this November.
“I don't know if ‘lovesickness’ is a real thing but it sure feels real. I like the fine line between love and heartbreak, and this song is a product of that.” ~ Jack Robertson
